The first year of developmental milestones are some of the funnest experiences for a parent! Those coos, giggles, first steps and other fun milestones are the moments every parent waits for! But, it can also be scary when you don’t know if your baby is meeting those milestones or not! As always, if you think your baby is continually missing milestones talk to your pediatrician. Keep in mind these are GUIDELINES! If your baby is not hitting every milestone when its listed below, don’t panic! But if you are concerned, again just talk to your pediatrician!
When I was pregnant with my second, I researched and researched all the double stroller options. In the end, I came to the conclusion that I would get a wrap or a sling. My 2.5 year old prefers to walk…no…RUN everywhere! So, I decided i would not spend the money on a double stroller. Instead, I would wear my baby when possible and have the stroller just in case my 2 year old wanted a break, or if I needed a break from “wearing” my baby! So far I am SO glad I decided to do this! I wear my baby EVERYWHERE! I started out with the Boba Wrap and absolutely LOVE It! Once I figured out how to tie it, it was a dream! I was recently given the Mamaway Ring Sling to try out and I am really liking it!! When I am around the house doing chores or moving around a lot i prefer the wrap. But when I am wearing my baby out at the park or on a walk the ring sling is quick and easy! Check out all these advantages of wearing your little babe! (Other than the fact that it is a dream to snuggle your baby all day!!)
Can we just get three cheers that summer is here!!?? HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!! If I could I would be outside every single day all day playing with my boys! And truth be told, my 2 year old would be outside all day every day as well!
I have been dying to get my son a Sand Box but have been a total cheapo and haven’t wanted to go buy one! Not to mention how much sand costs to fill it! (Who in the world came up with sand prices?!) Anyway…as I was scrolling through a classifieds Facebook page I am a part of I saw a little bookshelf for sale for $5. I had an instant light bulb! Bookshelf Sandbox! Yes please!

Never leave your baby alone during tummy time
There are a few reasons as to why you should never leave your baby alone during tummy time. First and foremost—SAFETY! If your baby does not have head control they are at risk of not being able to move their head/face if they are unable to breathe. For your child’s safety, do NOT leave them alone when they are inexperienced on their tummies. (Never put your child to sleep on their stomachs, for more information go here. )
