Sneaking some fruit into your kids diet might be a little tricky this Thanksgiving! But, this Jello Fruit Salad is INCREDIBLE and such an easy way to sneak some fruit onto your child’s Thanksgiving plate! Your kids will LOVE it and your guests will be AMAZED!!!
As a child I hated Jell-O fruit salad but every year I would get so excited and look forward to this Jell-O! My mom always doubled the batch so we were sure to have leftovers. I cannot wait for your to try it! I am slobbering just thinking about it!
2 Small Boxes Strawberry Jell-O (or 1 Large Box)
16 oz. can whole cranberries
1 medium apple, peeled and shredded
2 Bananas chopped (Wait until you are ready to throw them in to cut them up)
2 large cans crushed pineapple- don’t drain
1 16 oz. tub sweetened strawberries (slightly drained)
1 cup chopped walnuts (I do NOT add the walnuts…there is something funky to me about walnuts and fruit..but you go right ahead if you love walnuts!)
Chill all ingredients prior to making this recipe. This will help your Jell-O set faster.
- Empty packets of Jello-O into a large bowl.
- Add 2 cups boiling water to Jell-O
- Stir until Jell-O is well dissolved.
- Add strawberries and pineapple.
- Stir well
- Add apples and bananas
- Add remaining ingredients
- Stir gently until well combined
- Pour into desired serving dish and refrigerate until firm.
Enjoy! And Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!
